Community members considering a career in Early Childhood Education and Care along with local service providers will be welcomed into our Early Childhood practical classroom at Werribee West campus to view the interactive learning environments. Here they will learn about study and employment options, including traineeships which enable services to employee students whilst they are working towards their qualification. This mode of delivery supports services who are struggling to staff their programs.
There are currently Government incentives for services to employee trainees and we are working closely with services to provide this training.
The classroom environment will be set up with hands on learning opportunities for participants including art, craft, simulation babies and of course the mandatory playdough! At 11am, for approximately 30 minutes there will be a sit-down information session which includes a power point presentation outlining in more detail our delivery models, employment outcomes for students and how to go about applying to study at Victoria University. Brochures for our course delivery will be available for participants to take away with them.
